What is an MVP?
An MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is the first, minimal version of a product that includes only the essential features. Its goal: launch fast, validate the idea in the real market, and learn what users actually need — before investing in full development.
Why not build the full product first?
Because most assumptions about what users want are wrong. Building a full product before having users risks months and money on something nobody needs. An MVP flips this: invest little, learn a lot, then invest right.
What an MVP is not
An MVP is not a half-baked or buggy product. It's a complete, working product with fewer features — and the one feature it has should work great.
A practical example
For a food-delivery app, the MVP doesn't need points, chat and ratings. It needs: view a menu, order, and pay. If people order — add the rest. If not — you saved a fortune.
The MVP is the start, not the end
Once it proves itself, you keep building on what you learned — exactly the process in our startup guide.
